Mr. Michael and Susana Sollazzo

Retired Wealth Manager | Wife and Mother

Founding Patrons of Eternal Christendom

“Eternal Christendom has had an eternal impact on our family as Joshua Charles’s conversion was so compelling, his knowledge of the faith so deep, and his ability to communicate and teach the faith so clear, that he was instrumental in our family of five coming back to the Catholic Faith after an 11-15 year hiatus. Eternal Christendom’s treasure trove of early Church Father writings, commentaries, podcasts and interviews helps bring the Catholic Faith to life and makes us want to dig deeper into better understanding our Catholic roots.

Joshua’s vision for Eternal Christendom to share and teach the Catholic Faith through an apologetics lens, while drawing from his amazing background as a writer, speaker, author, and historian, led us to co-found Eternal Christendom with him and provide the initial seed capital to get it started. Having watched so many of our family and friends stray from the Catholic Faith for a host of reasons, and then recognizing that the Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus established, created an urgency and passionate desire to get Joshua going on this incredible work that has helped bring many Catholics back to the Faith and many new Catholics into the Church for the first time. Seeing the impact first-hand in our family, and sharing Eternal Christendom with family and friends alike, has been a great joy for us, and one that we are excited to continue to support in many ways!”

Michael

Michael’s biography can also be found on Our Team page.

Michael is a Wealth Manager from Capital Planning Advisors, a Northern California-based Wealth Management firm that manages approximately $1.5 billion in assets. Michael also served clients as an attorney and CPA with business, tax, estate planning, and real estate experience, and collectively spent more than 25 years managing complex wealth strategies on behalf of closely-held and family-owned companies, and high net worth individuals.

Michael’s career also included serving as General Counsel for a $700 million real estate company, where he also raised capital for, structured, and managed private real estate funds focused on acquiring and managing multi-family, commercial, office, and hotel properties. He has worked in and with several start-up operations as a Fund Manager and been engaged as a consultant on several businesses and real estate ventures.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and his Juris Doctor degree from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific with a Tax Concentration. He holds the Series 65 (Fiduciary Investment Advisor) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) securities licenses, and is also a licensed Life, Accident, and Health insurance agent.

More important than the work he did during his career, Michael is a devoted husband of 28 years (as of early 2026), and father to three beloved children. His family has been very involved in serving various non-profits with a focus on sharing the love of Jesus Christ through the ministries they support. In addition to serving as an Advisory Board Member of Eternal Christendom, he is also a Trustee of Lead Like Jesus, Advisory Board Member of the American Council, and previously served on the Board of 3Strands Global, fighting human trafficking.

Michael’s love for the Catholic Faith that he grew up in for 35 years was renewed in 2019 after an 11-year detour through Protestantism. He is passionate about sharing and teaching the Catholic Faith with those he cares about and are open to learning more. Evangelism and discipleship are at the core of the ministries he and Susana are involved in and continue to invest their resources.

Susana

Susana was raised in Madrid, Spain until she was 16 years old. She moved to the Monterey, California area and attended Monterey Peninsula College, where she met Michael in 1991. She then attended Cal Poly, earning her B.S. in Liberal Arts and then continued on to CSUMB where she earned her Teaching Credential. After marrying Michael in 1997, they moved to Sacramento where Susana taught 4th grade at Washington Elementary School, a then Title 1 school, where she found a passion for teaching. The family moved to Granite Bay in 2004 and Susana served as a part-time substitute teacher for a local Spanish immersion program in the area, while tending to her more important full-time wife and mom duties at home.

Susana has enjoyed being involved in ministry. For many years she volunteered for various youth and high school programs, and helped lead mission trips to Mexicali, Mexico with hundreds of high school students (where she also served as an interpreter). Susana loves working with youth and is passionate about helping the most vulnerable through volunteering and supporting multiple non-profit programs. She currently serves on the Board at The Alliance: Defending the Cause of Kids & Families, an amazing nonprofit that helps children and families in the Greater Sacramento Area who are desperately in need of love, support, and encouragement.

Susana and Michael live in the Sacramento area, and have three beautiful young adult children. Susana has been a stay-at-home mom for the last 25 years and enjoys being encouraging, supporting and loving on family and friends, while participating in all sorts of church and volunteer work.

Susana loves hosting family and friends for fun dinners, game nights, crafts, karaoke, and the fastest growing sport in America, pickleball. She enjoys traveling anywhere, but her favorite spot of all is the beautiful island of Maui, where she likes to spend time with family and friends enjoying the sun and wonderful sights, as well as relaxing at the beach.
